Embark on an unforgettable riding experience with a stunning motorcycle tour through the mountainous beauty of Greece. This unique route takes you through the wild and breathtaking landscapes of Tzoumerka, Mount Pindus, the Pelion Peninsula, and Evia. Join an adventure-filled journey of culture and nature, exploring picturesque villages, magnificent waterfalls, and the winding roads of Greece’s mountainous terrain.
Day 1: Athens to Delphi
We will leave Athens and ride along scenic, winding roads, enjoying the breathtaking views of the Greek mountains, picturesque villages, and enchanting beaches.
We will pass through the mountain town of Arachova, offering the perfect blend of natural landscapes and a charming town atmosphere. Here, we will stop for a coffee break and breathe in the fresh mountain air.
Next, we will arrive at the historic Delphi, one of the most important sites in ancient Greece. A place where history and mystery come together. Delphi is surrounded by a stunning mountainous landscape.
We will visit one of the most remarkable historical sites in Greece, the ruins of the “Tholos” at the Temple of Athena Pronaia, offering breathtaking views of the valley.
Afterward, we will head to the hotel for check-in and a delicious dinner.
Day 2: Delphi to Karpenissi
The route from Delphi to Karpenisi offers a stunning ride through the beautiful mountainous landscape of Greece. We will pass through the breathtaking views of Mount Parnassus and the lush green valleys. Along the way, we’ll glide past the small, picturesque villages of the area as we make our way to Karpenisi, a charming mountain town located in the heart of the Evrytania mountains.
Day 3: Karpenissi to Tzoumerka
We will depart from Karpenisi along a scenic mountain road, passing through a beautiful forested area with breathtaking views of mountains and valleys. Along the way, we will stop at a viewpoint overlooking the stunning Acheloos River.
Continuing north, we will ride toward Tzoumerka, a spectacular mountainous region in northwestern Greece. Tzoumerka is known for its wild landscapes, rushing rivers, and picturesque villages, making it a perfect destination for nature lovers. The route from Karpenisi to Tzoumerka offers an incredible ride through stunning natural scenery with fascinating stops along the way.
Day 4: Tzoumerka to Meteora
The route from Tzoumerka to Meteora via the Baros Pass offers an unforgettable riding experience through breathtaking mountain landscapes, thrilling twists, and picturesque passes!
From Tzoumerka, we will head north, stopping to explore a stunning stalactite cave. Next, we’ll visit an ancient monastery carved into the rock, perched high in the mountains.
Continuing north, we will ride toward the Baros Pass, one of the highest mountain passes in Greece. This stretch of the journey offers spectacular views of towering peaks, winding roads, lush valleys, and vast open landscapes. The pass can be narrow and winding, so careful riding is required, with plenty of stops to take in the scenery and capture incredible photos!
After crossing the Baros Pass, we will arrive at the Paleokaria Bridge. This impressive 16th-century stone bridge spans a beautiful waterfall, creating a magical, picture-perfect setting—an ideal stop for a break and some stunning photos.
We will then visit a nearby village known as the “sinking ghost town,” where houses and buildings are slowly sinking into the ground. One of the highlights is the sinking church, the village’s central landmark, where we will hear the fascinating story behind this phenomenon.
From there, we continue north toward Meteora, one of the most breathtaking destinations in Greece. Meteora is famous for its awe-inspiring monasteries built atop towering rock formations, offering a truly spectacular view.
Upon arrival, we will check into our hotel and enjoy a delicious and hearty dinner.
Day 5: Meteora to Volos
We begin our ride toward the Pelion Peninsula, passing through Trikala, a major city in Thessaly. From there, we continue through the valley toward Larissa, the largest city in Thessaly. Larissa offers a vibrant atmosphere with a variety of restaurants, cafés, and shops. Here, we will take a break to soak in the lively ambiance.
After our stop in Larissa, we head southeast, climbing into the mountainous region of the Pelion Peninsula.
We continue our journey toward Volos, the main port city of Pelion. Volos boasts a beautiful seaside promenade, numerous seafood restaurants, and stunning views of both the sea and the surrounding mountains.
Day 6: Volos to Eretria
We depart from Volos and ride south through lush landscapes and charming villages, where we can enjoy a local coffee and soak in the peaceful rural atmosphere. Continuing through the stunning scenery of the Pelion Mountains, we navigate winding roads with breathtaking viewpoints—perfect for photo stops and panoramic views of the sea and mountains.
Heading further south along the coast, we then take a short and scenic ferry ride to Evia Island. This crossing offers spectacular panoramic views of the sea and surrounding islands.
On Evia, we ride through the enchanting town of Limni, where we stop for a seaside meal along the picturesque waterfront.
We then continue south to Eretria, a beautiful coastal town on Evia Island. The sandy beaches of Eretria provide the perfect spot to unwind after a full day of riding.
Day 7: Eretria to Athens
We depart from Eretria and ride through the picturesque villages of Evia, enjoying the island’s lush, mountainous landscapes. Our route takes us through forests, streams, and stunning viewpoints, offering breathtaking scenery along the way.
We then cross the Euripus Strait via the historic bridge connecting Evia to mainland Greece, continuing our journey toward Athens. Riding through a winding road that passes through a beautiful nature reserve, we make our way to the vibrant capital, completing our unforgettable journey.
